During the opening of the security posts at Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises. 

People’s Bank, under its ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ CSR program, donated two security posts to enhance the safety of devotees visiting Anuradhapura’s Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises. The bank also donated three scanners, which will be housed within the security points. 

The People’s Bank provided financial support for the construction of these security posts, while the Sri Lanka Army contributed labor. 

The inauguration event was held under the patronage of Atamasthanadhipathi and the Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya Most Venerable Pallegama Hemarathana Thero. The event was graced by People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka, Anuradhapura District Secretary Janaka Jayasundara, and Sri Lankan digital marketing consultant as well as the bank’s corporate and executive management and staff members.
